I have enjoyed the Mind's Eye's adaptations of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The latter is notable for not cutting out Tom Bombadil or the hobbits' adventure on the Barrow-downs before reaching Bree.
I'll also recommend the radio adaptation of Star Wars: A New Hope.
