Mae g'ovannen (Well met) my Middle Earth brothers and sisters!
I am grateful for these two Tolkien scholars and the content of this site and their podcasts.
I wanted to share a couple scholars of Tolkien’s work that I have found very educational.
Dr Louis Markos (www.Loumarkos.com) is a professor in English and Scholar in Residence at Houston Baptist University and has published more than 18 books including On the Shoulders of Hobbits: The Road to Virtue with Tolkien and Lewis and from A to Z to Middl-earth with J.R.R. Tolkien to name just a few. His writings are deep insights into the writings of Tolkie.n. Jonathan S McIntosh has written a magisterial tome “The. Flame Imperishabl:e: Tolkien, St Thomas and the Metaphysics of Faerie”. He opens deeper insight into the Ainulindale and plumbs the depth of Tolkien’s legendarium.
I know we all read extensive and the last thing we need is more books to expend our time and mental energy on. I just wanted to pass on a couple authors that have studied and written deeply on Tolkien's writing.s.
The link doesn't work.
www.Loumarkos.com will bring you to his Amazon home book page. You can also find his YouTube videos by putting in his name in YouTube search.
Very cool, I'm always up for another good bit of reading. Especially if it involves Tolkien and/or his stories. Thank you, Robert.
Your very welcome. It is quite amazing to see/read so many writings and commentaries on his writing. Lots of great treasure, especially his.
