I am going by the assumption that we all have the Hobbit and LOTR trilogy, and perhaps the Silmarillion. What other books do you own, or at least read? I will count books about Tolkien's works as well.
JRR Tolkien's writings, including those compiled by Christopher Tolkien:
Unfinished Tales
Histories of Middle Earth volumes 1-5* (see below)
Smith of Wootton Major
Tree and Leaf
The Tolkien Reader (includes Farmer Giles of Ham)
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and Sir Orfeo
The Fall of Arthur
Bilbo's Last Song
* A word about the History series. I was able to find volumes 1-5, but I could never find the next three volumes in the bookstores, I saw later books and browsed through them, but I didn't buy them because I didn't like to skip books in a series. Yes, I was that uptight when I was young. I guess I can find them now that I have the internet, but I haven't got around to it yet.
Works by other authors about Tolkien's works:
The Atlas of Middle-earth by Karen Wynn Fonstad (albeit an early edition)
The Complete Guide to Middle-earth by Robert Foster
An Introduction to Elvish by Jim Allan
The Languages of Tolkien's Middle-earth by Ruth S. Noel
The Hobbit Companion by David Day
Lost Tales, bk. 1
Unfinished Tales
Letters,
Morgoth's ring (V. 12 HoME
Numerous reference books, maps, books on LOTR weapons, encyclopedias of flora and fauna, foods, etc.
I write a lot of fan fiction so I have a lot of reference materials.
As you say, I have all the usual plus I have Unfinished Tales, Histories of Middle Earth Volumes 1-5, Beren & Luthien, The Children of Hurin, The Fall of Gondolin and the Art of Lord of the Rings! I am a bit of a newbie so I hope to improve and extend my collection over the next year! If anyone could give me some recommendations for my next purchases, then I would be very grateful!!😊
You may enjoy some of Tolkien's works that are not set in Middle-earth. Farmer Giles of Ham and Smith of Wootton Major are highly enjoyable and are good for light reading. Tolkien's poems are also fun to read.

My collection is small
Oh, I have lots and lots of books. Not so many from HOME, though I do own Unfinished Tales, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, The Book of Lost Tales, The Shaping of MIddle-earth, and The Return of the Shadow. I have several versions of The Hobbit, including the graphic novel, a used copy of the edition with illustrations from the animated movie and The Annotated Hobbit.
Other fantasy books and series I have range from Fritz Leiber's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser to Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion, the books of David and Leigh Eddings, and Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. Then there is Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and many, many more.
Oddly, I have yet to start on The Song of Ice and Fire series, though I have read the Wild Cards books edited by George R.R. Martin.
You have Return of the Shadow? I thought that was new. I haven't got it yet, though I will once this is all over.
@ShireofMiddleEarth The Return of the Shadow was Volume VI of the History of Middle-earth series. It was published in 1988. It is the most recent volume of HOME that I possess.
@andrewlaubacher Yeah, I found that out later. Actually, I do have it but haven't read it yet. I've heard though that Mr. Tolkien started writing it but didn't finish it.
If I had the say a author's novel works I own be Terry Brooks all 20 of his books. Good fantasy novels.
I have the three usual suspects you mentioned, a few times in fact, as I have the books, the illustrated by Alan Lee LOTR trilogy, and got the ebooks of LOTR and Silmarillion.
I also have The Complete Tolkien companion, will have the Atlas of Middle Earth by next week and I have Fall of Gondolin on my birthday wishlist.
For other authors, I just started Discworld this year and there are several indie authors that are my go-to for reading.
