The dominions of the Black Númenóreans seem to have all been coastal colonies that were founded in the Second Age from the year 1800 onward and dominated originally by the King's Men. Tolkien was not very specific about their locations. Some might have been in Eriador and later incorporated into the kingdom of Arnor. Others might have become parts of Gondor. Still others must have been located farther south and east along the coasts of Harad and Rhûn; those are the colonies that probably became havens for the Black Númenóreans. The Empty Lands beyond Middle-earth seem to have remained uninhabited in the time of Númenor before its fall.
