Obviously the white walkers would be servants of sauron that's not a question in my mind. I would love to see a drinking contest between Gimii and Robert Baratheon. Aragorn would get on well with Jon Snow. Gandalf and Tyrion would be friends but Gandalf would never 100% trust Tyrion. I think it would be quite interesting myself.
I could never get into Game of Thrones... I know James used to love it. But I just found it hard to watch. Same with the book, I attempted to read it, but it just seemed filled with useless information and I didn't enjoy it... as much as I wanted to
I can understand your reasoning. but i found that this was the first set of books that tried to put the same attention to detail that tolkien did. Creating languages (dothraki, valyerian, giess,), having 100's of years of world history, having legends about the great houses rise and fall. creatures religion, economics all of them are cover and the world is still being added to (mostly because hes a bloody slow writer). Dont get me wrong Tolkien is better but i have to give credit to George Martin. The TV show was great until series 5 but after they ran out of source material they made stuff up and stopped caring about the details which gave the show it draw in the first place. i still enjoyed it but was very upsetting the direction they took. @James Hayman whats your thoughts?
