I liked almost everything from the movies if I am honest. I think I could count the things I didn't like about them on 1 hand.
The entire cast was incredible, the sets, props, costumes were all amazing. If I am honest, the only things I didnt like were just a few changes or missing things
There's really not much actually. I'm kinda sad that Tom Bombadil didn't at least get a cameo (you know, in the background Stan Lee-style), but I can understand how he would have stuck out like a sore thumb in the rest of the movie. The barrow-wight incident could have been kept, however.
One of the things from the movies that was different that I really liked was that the elves showed up to help at the battle of Helm's Deep. I get chills just thinking about it.
I found Aragorn and company punching out Wormtongue's lackeys at Meduseld a bit amusing. Likewise, I liked the exchange between Gimli and Eowyn. Aragorn's comments about dwarf women having beards is part of Tolkien's lore, but it has been a D&D staple forever.
